Paul Dwayne Kilgore Sex Abuse

Law Enforcement Believes There May Be Numerous Sex Abuse Victims

Paul Dwayne Kilgore, the former athletic director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley, continues to face child sex abuse charges. He remains in jail on $1 million bail.

After his arrest and photograph were publicized, the Healdsburg Police Department said it received credible information from over a dozen other victims alleging incidents of abuse dating back to the early 1980’s. This is the period spanning Kilgore’s 11-year employment with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Sonoma Valley. Police reportedly received at least 20 calls from people claiming to be victims or knowing of victims.

Healdsburg police arrested Kilgore on September 18, 2016 on suspicion of committing lewd acts and continuous sexual abuse of two boys ages 11 and 12. The sex abuse allegedly occurred in the hot tub and shower area of the Parkpoint Health Club in Healdsburg on August 27, 2016.

Police said Kilgore took pre-teens and teenage boys to outings at recreation areas in the area. They also stated that some of the alleged offenses happened on overnight trips where Kilgore served as a mentor.

Kilgore reportedly worked at the San Bruno Recreation Center and was a volunteer coach for St. Roberts School in the late 1970s through 1985.
